VALCO Privatisation: GIADEC CEO Clears the Air on Ibrahim Mahama Link

Reindorf Twumasi Ankrah, CEO of the Ghana Integrated Aluminium Development Corporation (GIADEC), addresses public speculation linking businessman Ibrahim Mahama to the ongoing privatisation and strategic partnership process for the Volta Aluminium Company Limited (VALCO).

"It is not a secret that I was Ibrahim Mahama's lawyer; hence, it is not far-fetched for anyone to link him to the privatisation of VALCO. But I can publicly tell you that he has no interest in aluminium, and we have no dealing with him or his company." - Reindorf Twumasi Ankrah

The clarification comes after claims circulated in the public domain alleging that VALCO was being sold to Ibrahim Mahama, prompting GIADEC to formally dismiss the reports and reassure the public that it will continue to provide verified updates as the strategic partnership process progresses.
