Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has met with President Donald Trump in Washington DC for their first in-person talks since US airstrikes on Iran began in February. The meeting comes amid signs of growing friction between the two leaders. Trump has publicly criticised Israel for continuing strikes in Lebanon and ignoring a ceasefire. Meanwhile, Iran's state broadcaster said two men who took part in nationwide anti-government protests earlier this year have been publicly executed in the city of Isfahan. And elsewhere, Oman has reportedly proposed a regional system for managing the Strait of Hormuz, following technical talks with Tehran.
