Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren says Ghana expects a difficult opening game against Cape Verde at the 2026 CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Ghana will face Cape Verde on Wednesday, July 29 at 17:00 GMT, with the defending bronze medal winners aiming to reach the semifinals and secure qualification to the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Bjorkegren has warned his team not to underestimate Cape Verde, saying they will be motivated by the success of their male counterparts and will be looking to produce another memorable performance on the international stage.
