China's 'air-conditioned vest' helps street cleaners beat the heat

As temperatures soar above 40 degrees Celsius, sanitation workers in Nanjing City, east China's Jiangsu Province, are testing "air-conditioned vests" designed to make outdoor work more comfortable. Equipped with two quiet cooling fans and powered by a portable battery pack, the vests circulate air to speed up sweat evaporation, helping reduce heat stress during long hours in the summer sun.
