The Special Task Force of the Northern Regional Police Command, Red Maria, has intercepted 170 parcels of suspected narcotic substances believed to be Indian hemp during an intelligence-led operation.
Speaking to the media, Deputy Northern Regional Crime Officer, ASP Richard Ackumey, said the parcels were seized on Monday following a targeted operation by the task force.
He reaffirmed the Police Command's commitment to intensifying efforts to combat drug trafficking and related crimes in the region, assuring the public that operations against drug peddlers will continue.
