Alban Bagbin Warns Parents Against Sending Children Abroad Too Early for Education

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has criticised the growing practice of Ghanaian parents sending their children abroad for education at an early age.

He says the trend could weaken children's attachment to their families, culture and Ghana, urging parents to allow their children to complete their basic and secondary education in Ghana before pursuing overseas studies at the postgraduate level.

Speaking at the launch of the National Integrity Awards Scheme, the Speaker emphasised the importance of nurturing national identity and values among young Ghanaians.
