China deploys drone swarm to observe Typhoon Noul

China has completed its first full-process typhoon observation using a swarm of meteorological drones. Conducted at a research base in Shenzhen during the passage of Typhoon Noul, the experiment deployed multiple sensor-equipped drones at different locations and altitudes to collect coordinated weather data. Researchers say the observations could support more accurate typhoon monitoring and forecasting, while helping assess the operational limits of drones in extreme conditions.
