Hohoe Municipal Assembly to Prosecute Residents Over Illegal Waste Disposal

The Hohoe Municipal Assembly is set to prosecute residents who indiscriminately dispose of refuse or dump waste into drains as it intensifies enforcement of its sanitation by-laws.
The Assembly says the move is aimed at preserving Hohoe's reputation as one of Ghana's cleanest municipalities, preventing choked drains and reducing the risk of flooding.
Residents are being urged to comply with sanitation regulations as authorities step up efforts to improve environmental cleanliness and public health.
