Zoom in on Typhoon Noul: Tracking response across southern China
Heavy downpours and strong winds have battered the southern province of Guangdong after Typhoon Noul made landfall in Huizhou in the early hours of July 26. The neighboring regions, including Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Fujian Province, have also been severely affected.
Noul is the strongest typhoon to hit China so far this year, and the most powerful to strike east of the Pearl River Estuary in a decade. CGTN tracked the latest response across southern China to cope with the raging storm.
