Gaza's karate kids: Palestinian children cope with trauma through martial arts

In a displacement camp in Deir el-Balah in central Gaza, a makeshift tent has become an improvised karate dojo. Coach Khalil Ayad trains dozens of displaced children, offering them more than martial arts. Through discipline, movement and routine, the sessions provide a rare outlet for children living through war, helping them cope with trauma, fear and prolonged displacement.
