Ghana and India Target $6 Billion Trade Deal as Cooperation Deepens

Ghana and India have set an ambitious target to double bilateral trade volumes to $6 billion as both countries seek to deepen economic cooperation.

Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa disclosed the target during the presentation of letters of credence by India's new High Commissioner to Ghana, Surinder Bhagat.

The Minister said Ghana and India will strengthen collaboration in key sectors including agriculture, ICT and pharmaceutical manufacturing to create jobs, expand trade opportunities and drive economic growth.

The move forms part of efforts to strengthen Ghana's international partnerships and attract investment for national development.
