The final day of funeral rites for the late King of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Abukari II, is being observed with seven-day Islamic prayers at the Gbewaa Palace. The ceremonies, which blend Islamic teachings with Dagbon tradition, will be followed by the commencement of traditional funeral rites on July 31, beginning with the installation of a Regent. Media Relations Officer Musah Yakubu outlined the sequence of events as Dagbon honours its late Overlord.
