Bawumia Assures Chairman Wontumi of Support After 20-Year Jail Sentence

The NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has assured the party's Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, of his support following his conviction in an illegal mining case.
Chairman Wontumi is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence after being found guilty of illegal mining activities.
Speaking to Channel One News, an aide to Dr. Bawumia, Akbar Yussif Khomeini, said the party is working closely with Chairman Wontumi's legal team as efforts continue to challenge the outcome of the case.
