South China Sea confrontations: China and the Philippines trade barbs over disputed waters

The Chinese and Philippine coast guards have had another confrontation near a disputed reef in the South China Sea.

The Philippines released footage showing a Chinese vessel firing a water cannon at a nearby Philippine vessel near Scarborough Shoal.

It's the third such incident this week, and it happened as both countries attended a gathering of regional foreign ministers in the Philippines.
