The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has maintained its benchmark Monetary Policy Rate at 14.0%, stating that the current policy stance remains appropriate to keep inflation within its medium-term target.

The decision was announced after the 131st Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting and was reached unanimously.

According to the Bank of Ghana, the decision comes despite growing risks from geopolitical tensions, rising global energy prices, and the possibility of utility tariff adjustments, all of which could put pressure on inflation.
