AMA Receives GH¢2.4 Billion Sanitation Equipment as Minister Commends Accra Mayor

The Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Ahmed Ibrahim, has commended the Mayor of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) for improving the Assembly's financial standing and investing in sanitation equipment to enhance waste management in the capital.

The Minister made the remarks during the inspection and commissioning of newly acquired waste compactors and sanitation equipment by the AMA, valued at GH¢2.4 billion.

The investment is expected to strengthen waste collection and management efforts across Accra as authorities intensify efforts to improve sanitation in the city.
