PAWmicon Event Gives Pets Their Own Comic-Con

San Diego's annual Comic-Con week embarked with a barking good time. The Helen Woodward Animal Center hosted 'PAWmicon' at Balboa Park. It brought together over 500 people and their pets to cosplay as superheroes, villains, and pop culture characters. Actor Charlotte Ross judged the costumed competition. Comic-Con began in San Diego in 1970, and has grown from a comic-book convention to a massive multi-genre entertainment event with more than 130,000 attendees each year.
