Student and youth activists in India clash with police

Student protesters and police clashed in New Delhi, India, on July 20 during the “Sansad Chalo” or “March to Parliament” rally, which demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The movement, dubbed the “Cockroach Janata Party” online, is a response to an alleged May 2026 leak of answers to the National Eligibility Entrance Exam for those pursuing undergraduate medical education.

The case led to several arrests over alleged malpractice and the cancellation of the exam after it was conducted.
