US-Iran conflict escalates with more dead US soldiers

U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday, July 22, oversaw the return of four U.S. military personnel killed as fighting with Iran has intensified. Trump attended a dignified transfer ceremony, having done so months earlier for six service people who died in the early stages of the conflict.

And in a mark of the rapid escalation in hostilities, both sides are moving beyond striking each other's military to target infrastructure critical for fulfilling basic human needs.
