Team Ghana has selected Tahiru Haruna and Frema Agyei to carry the nation's highest ceremonial honours at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Para Powerlifting star Tahiru Haruna has been named Ghana's King's Baton Bearer, representing resilience, determination and the growing recognition of Para sport in Ghana's sporting landscape.

Joining him is 17-year-old judo sensation Frema Agyei, who has been chosen as Team Ghana's Flag Bearer. The young gold medalist represents a new generation of athletes whose discipline, talent and ambition reflect Ghana's vision of developing future champions.

The appointments highlight Ghana's commitment to merit, inclusion and investment in young sporting talent as the country prepares for the Commonwealth Games.
