Ghana Garden and Flower Show: Horticulture Touted as Job Creator

The Chief Executive Officer of Stratcomm Africa and Convenor of the Ghana Garden and Flower Show, Esther Cobbah, has urged Ghanaians to embrace gardening and horticulture as practical drivers of the government's 24-hour economy agenda.

Speaking at the launch of the 2026 Ghana Garden and Flower Show in Accra, Esther Cobbah said the sector has the potential to create jobs, generate foreign exchange and reduce poverty.

She encouraged Ghanaians to invest in growing food crops, flowers and ornamental plants, stressing that Ghana has the land, climate and resources needed to expand exports while reducing dependence on imported flowers.

The 2026 Ghana Garden and Flower Show will be held from September 12 to 21 at the Efua Sutherland Children's Park in Accra.
