Linda Ocloo Backs AI Solutions to Address Ghana’s Healthcare Challenges

The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Ocloo, has welcomed the use of digital technologies, including AI-assisted tools, to help address gaps in Ghana's healthcare system.
Speaking on behalf of the Minister at the launch of the 3rd China–West Africa Medical Summit and Expo 2026, the Regional Director of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Robert Amesiya, noted that despite Accra's relatively advanced healthcare infrastructure, challenges such as access to emergency care, the “no bed syndrome” and maternal mortality persist.
She said Ghana's partnership with China will help strengthen healthcare delivery, improve access to quality medical services and support the adoption of innovative solutions in the health sector.
