World Brain Health Day: How to protect your brain health?
Your brain never takes a day off. It remembers people and things you care for, fuels your creativity, and keeps every heartbeat and breath in motion. Yet in today's world, our brains are constantly bombarded by endless scrolling, mounting stress, and too little rest.
July 22 is World Brain Day, a global reminder that protecting our brains starts with everyday habits. Founded by the World Federation of Neurology, this year's World Brain Day is themed βBrain Health: Access for All.β
In support of this global initiative, this episode of Health Talk features Dr. Xu Yun, director of the Department of Neurology at Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital affiliated with the Medical School of Nanjing University. She explores why brain health deserves our attention long before problems arise.
From the effects of excessive screen time and chronic stress to the early warning signs of cognitive impairment, discover what happens when your brain is overworked, how doctors evaluate brain health, and the simple everyday habits that can help protect one of your body's most vital organs.
