N.J. governor says thousands of noncitizens mistakenly added to voter rolls

New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill says more than 6,000 noncitizens were mistakenly added to state voter rolls between 2023 and 2024. Of that number, roughly 400 improperly cast votes, she said. Sherrill said the names are currently being removed from the voter rolls.
