The Minority in Parliament has described the 20-year prison sentence handed to NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, as a miscarriage of justice.
The caucus cited what it described as the denial of Chairman Wontumi's right to counsel of his choice, the court's refusal to refer constitutional questions to the Supreme Court, and the delivery of judgment in the absence of his lead counsel as grounds for its position.
