Israeli strike kills family of six as Gaza City home is reduced to rubble

An Israeli air strike hit a residential building in Gaza City overnight, killing a father, his wife and their four children, including youngsters aged five, eight and 10. Neighbours say multiple drone strikes brought down the roof and set the home ablaze while the family slept, with no prior warning given. The Israeli military says it targeted a Hamas fighter and is reviewing the outcome. The attack adds to more than 1,100 Palestinian deaths since October, despite a ceasefire agreed with Hamas last year.
