EU ban on destroying unsold clothes takes effect to curb fast fashion waste

New European Union (EU) rules have come into effect, aimed at reducing the waste and pollution created by the fast fashion industry. The legislation makes it illegal to destroy unsold clothing. But some industry players and environmental activists are sceptical.
