India protest: Police fire tear gas as thousands demand PM Modi's resignation
Police in India's capital, New Delhi, fired tear gas and used batons to disperse thousands of protesters demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the education minister over an exam leak scandal.
Demonstrators gathered near Jantar Mantar before marching toward Parliament, accusing the government of failing millions of students. Protest organizers say the movement will continue despite the crackdown, while opposition leaders have condemned the police response.
