Residents Demand Immediate Resumption of Abandoned Vakpo–Wusuta Road Project

Residents and motorists using the Vakpo–Wusuta Road in the North Dayi District of the Volta Region are calling for the immediate resumption of work on the abandoned road project.

They say the deteriorating condition of the road is making travel increasingly difficult and disrupting transportation, farming and local commerce.

With construction stalled, the partially rehabilitated stretch becomes heavily waterlogged and dangerously slippery whenever it rains, forcing some motorists to avoid the route altogether.
