Members of Parliament are demanding stricter enforcement of road safety regulations to curb the growing practice of transporting shipping containers on low-bed trailers without properly securing them.
The lawmakers say the unsafe practice poses a serious threat to motorists, contributes to traffic congestion and road damage, and has resulted in containers falling onto highways, causing accidents and endangering lives.
