Residents of Samreboi in the Western Region, who were affected by recent devastating floods allegedly linked to illegal mining activities, have welcomed the court's decision to sentence Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, to 20 years' imprisonment.
The residents are calling on government to reclaim degraded lands and restore the environment damaged by illegal mining activities.
