A full breakdown of the charges that led to Chairman Wontumi's 20-year conviction in the Samreboi illegal mining case.
Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), was tried alongside his company, Akonta Mining Limited, on six counts brought by the Attorney-General's Office.
The Accra High Court, presided over by Justice Audrey Kocuvie-Tay, found him guilty on all counts relating to his Samreboi concession in the Western Region.
