Motorists and transport operators in the Upper West Region are calling for the immediate reconstruction of the deteriorating Wa Magazine Road, warning that years of patchwork repairs have failed to improve its condition.
They say the poor state of the road has heightened safety risks for motorists and pedestrians and are urging authorities to abandon temporary fixes in favour of a complete reconstruction to first-class standards.
The transport operators insist residents should not have to wait for a fatal accident before decisive action is taken.
