Residents of Apitikooko and Dokyiwa/Binsere in the Obuasi Municipality of the Ashanti Region are lamenting the lack of access to healthcare due to the absence of nearby health facilities.

For years, residents have had to travel to Obuasi town or Tweapease in the Amansie Central District to seek medical care.

They say the long distances have delayed treatment, affected healthcare delivery and created challenges for vulnerable residents seeking urgent medical attention.

The communities are appealing for the establishment of a nearby health facility to improve access to quality healthcare services.
