Nepalese political figure: China initiatives aim for global prosperity

This year marks the 105th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC). During the "Understanding the CPC" forum hosted by CGTN, Gopal Khanal, a member of Department of Foreign Affairs of Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) (CPN (UML)), stressed that after achieving its poverty alleviation goals, China proposed a series of global initiatives with the purpose of achieving shared global prosperity.

"China has given a new shape to global governance," he said, noting that while it is different from the Global North model, China has never sought to export its own model. "What China is saying is that we are for the humankind," Gopal Khanal stressed.
