Hidden in the snowy mountains of Shannan, Xizang, a "cloud academy" Nakartse County Middle School sits at an altitude of 4,500 meters. Framed by snow peaks and sacred lakes, more than 1,500 local Tibetan teenagers live and learn here.

Lessons in Tibetan script keep their ancestral culture alive, while traditional Guozhuang dance lets them embrace youthful joy. Impressively, this remote plateau school has produced Shannan's top exam achievers for seven years straight.
