Bawumia: Tribunals Bill opposition goes beyond politics
NPP Flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says his appeal to President John Dramani Mahama not to assent to the Tribunals Bill is not driven by partisan politics.
Addressing the nation, Dr. Bawumia argued that concerns over the bill extend beyond political parties, pointing to the Trades Union Congress (TUC) and its opposition as evidence that the debate is of national interest.
He maintained that reforms to Ghana's justice system should be guided by broad consultation and national consensus rather than political majorities.
