Residents of Nii Buade and Morgan Estate, communities near Valley View University at Oyibi in the Kpone Katamanso Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, are expressing concern over the growing risk of flooding.
The residents say the continuous filling of water bodies and construction on waterways are gradually turning the area into a flood-prone community.
They blame unchecked development and the destruction of natural drainage channels for worsening the situation and are calling for urgent action to protect the community from possible flood disasters.
