Minority Rejects Tribunals Bill, Warns of Threat to Ghana’s Judiciary

The Minority in Parliament has criticised the passage of the Tribunals Bill, 2026, describing the revival of regional tribunals as a threat to the independence and sanctity of Ghana's judiciary and democracy.
The Minority argues that rather than establishing regional tribunals, government should invest in strengthening existing courts, including the High Court, Circuit Court and District Court, to improve justice delivery.
Joining us for more insight is Ranking Member on Parliament's Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee, Kwame Ayimadu Antwi, who discusses the Minority's concerns and the implications of the new legislation.
