Parliament Warns MDAs Over Failure to Account for 2025 Progress Report

The Economy and Development Committee of Parliament has warned Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) that fail to appear before it for the consideration of the 2025 Annual Progress Report will face sanctions and be deemed to be evading accountability.
The review follows a report by the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), which highlighted economic gains in 2025 while identifying persistent challenges, including youth unemployment, poor maternal health outcomes, and weaknesses in public service delivery.
Committee Chairman Eric Afful said the exercise is aimed at assessing measures being implemented by MDAs to improve service delivery and address key development concerns.
