Parliament Vows Stronger Accountability Measures to Deliver Value for Money

The Economy and Development Committee of Parliament has assured of strict accountability measures to ensure government programmes deliver value for money and improve the living conditions of Ghanaians.

The assurance comes as the Committee reviews the 2025 Annual Progress Report, which was presented by the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC).

While the report highlighted economic gains recorded in 2025, it also identified persistent challenges including youth unemployment, poor maternal health outcomes, and gaps in public service delivery.

Committee Chairman Eric Afful said the review is aimed at assessing measures being implemented by Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to improve service delivery and ensure development outcomes benefit citizens.
