FACT CHECK: Trump uses debunked Michigan case to claim widespread voter fraud

In an effort to claim widespread voter fraud in past elections, Trump focused on a fraud case in Michigan from the 2020 election during his Thursday primetime address. He even ordered FBI Director Kash Patel to re-open investigations into the case, which did not result in prosecutions. However, the case was actually dropped by Trump's FBI in September of 2025. Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, whose office handled that case and referred it to the FBI for prosecution, joins The Weekend to discuss.
