Canada Wildfires blanket New York with smoke ahead of FIFA Club World Cup final

Smoke from Canada's massive wildfires has spread across the northeastern United States, triggering air quality alerts in New York, Chicago and Washington, DC.

More than 850 wildfires are burning across Canada, with over 100 classified as out of control. Authorities have evacuated railway workers trapped by advancing flames in Ontario.

The smoke has raised concerns ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup final, set to take place in the New York area on Sunday, with officials closely monitoring air quality.
