35 Aspirants File Nominations for Ashanti Regional NPP Executive Elections

Nominations for the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Ashanti Regional executive elections have officially closed, with 35 aspirants picking and submitting nomination forms.

According to Kwaku Atta Sarpong, a member of the Ashanti Regional NPP Elections Committee, nominations opened on Wednesday, July 15 and closed on Friday, July 17, 2026.

Of the 35 aspirants, 28 are males and seven are females. Two aspirants are contesting for Regional Chairman, while several others are seeking positions including Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Organizer, Youth Organizer, Nasara Organizer, Women's Organizer and Communications Officer.

Mr. Atta Sarpong said the vetting of aspirants is expected to take place on Monday or Tuesday, subject to committee approval.
