Dr. Keskine Owusu Poku Files for NPP Ashanti Communications Officer Role

Aspiring Ashanti Regional Communications Officer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Keskine Owusu Poku, says effective communication will be critical to the party's success in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking after submitting his nomination forms, Dr. Poku said he has been involved in party communication for about 19 years, stressing that communication is central to modern politics.

He noted that without a strong communication structure, the efforts of party organizers, chairmen and secretaries could be undermined because the party's message must effectively reach the grassroots.

Dr. Poku highlighted his experience in agenda setting, crisis communication, training and mentorship, as well as his relationships with media practitioners, as key strengths for the role.

He added that with a significant youth population in the Ashanti Region, the party needs a communications officer who understands young voters and can connect with them ahead of the 2028 elections.
