Smoke and floods threaten US

Smoke from wildfires in Canada and the U.S. state of Minnesota has spread across parts of the eastern United States, triggering hazardous air quality alerts from the Midwest to the East Coast. Health experts warn that fine particles in wildfire smoke can aggravate respiratory conditions, while forecasters expect improving conditions before the FIFA World Cup final. Meanwhile, severe flooding in Texas has killed at least two people after torrential rainfall inundated parts of the state. Emergency crews continue rescue operations as officials warn that flood risks remain despite receding waters in some areas. CGTN's Jim Spellman reports.
