US launches seventh night of strikes on Iran as conflict escalates

The United States says it has launched a seventh consecutive night of air strikes on Iran, targeting military sites as the conflict continues to intensify.

Iranian media reported explosions in several southern locations, including Sirik, Bandar Abbas province and Qeshm Island, while US Central Command said the strikes are aimed at degrading Iran's military capabilities.

Iran has warned of a broader response if the attacks continue, while reporting retaliatory strikes against US military assets across the Gulf region.

The latest escalation has also disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, with maritime traffic falling sharply as regional tensions continue to mount.
