Nutritionist WARNS Ghanaians Over Unsafe Food Practices and Contamination Risks

The Ghana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is urging the public to strictly observe food safety practices to reduce the risk of food-borne illnesses.
Speaking on Channel One TV's Breakfast Daily, Registered Dietitian Emelia Abena Boatemaa Bamfo stressed the importance of thoroughly cooking food before consumption to prevent infections such as salmonella.
She also advised consumers to be cautious when purchasing food from street vendors, particularly those operating near open drains, warning that such environments increase the risk of food contamination.
