The Minority Caucus in Parliament says its call for the repeal of Sections 207 and 208 of the Criminal Offences Act does not amount to an endorsement of reckless or irresponsible conduct.
The caucus insists that while citizens must be allowed to exercise their right to free expression, such freedoms must be balanced with responsibility and respect for the law.
The clarification follows the Minority's demand for reforms to provisions they argue could undermine Ghana's democratic space and the right to criticism.
