Roads Minister Kwame Governs Agbodza has pledged three months of his salary to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, while appealing to contractors to voluntarily support efforts to establish a cardio centre in the Volta Region.
Speaking during a citizens' engagement as part of President John Dramani Mahama's #ResettingGhana Tour of the Volta Region, the Minister clarified that contractors would not be compelled to contribute, but encouraged them to support the initiative.
He also assured residents that the Ho–Aflao Road and the Eastern Corridor Road projects remain government's top priorities and will be completed on schedule, stressing that the roads are critical to trade, healthcare, tourism, and regional connectivity.
